Yes, like that.

Moose, I wasn't saying that's the way SH plays it, I'm saying it sounds cooler that way. [img]cool.gif[/img] JMHO. I didn't communicate it clearly. A variation that also sounds cool is to play the bass foot as a pickup (before 1) and play the first right hand on one.

I understand the sticking. Thanks. But, I still think that the second right hand stroke of the sticking should be on snare, not floor tom.

Ah, ok, gotcha. Yeah, this is a lick that sounds great when phrased all sorts of different ways, like splitting the RH across toms.

Funny you should mention that. Even now, I have a hard time not phrasing it that way, because I practised it "wrong" after Steve first posted the video. I still have to work really hard to "hear" the foot on "1".
